LATscan is a next-generation laser ablation tomography and chemical mapping platform for high-resolution, three-dimensional imaging of biological specimens. Developed for plant science and phenotyping applications, LATscan combines automated sectioning and imaging with computational reconstruction to reveal internal anatomy, tissue organization, and spatial chemical patterns at scale. The technology helps researchers and breeders visualize traits that are difficult to capture with conventional surface imaging or destructive histology, including root and stem architecture, vascular structure, and stress-related anatomical variation.
